Brittany Murphy
was born to Sharon Murphy on November 10th, 1977 in Atlanta GA. (Her parents
later divorced.) She grew up in the NY/NJ area but later moved to Burbank, CA.
She graduated from John Burroughs High School.
By the age of 9, Brittany was already performing in regional theatre. She
performed a song in the play, Les Miserables, while attending Herbert Hoover
Middle School in Edison, NJ and also appeared in the musical Really Rosie.
Brittnay hired a manager when she was only a preteen. She soon began making
commercials, eventually moving to Hollywood in 1991. Once there, Brittany landed
a role on the TV sitcom Drexell's Class.
She now lives with her mother, in Los Angeles.
